Beat the Blues with a January Concert at Gregynog
Beat the January blues by joining us in the Music Room at Gregynog for a performance by violinist Ezo Sarici of Sinfonia Cymru and Turkish Pianist Deniz Cengiz.
Ezo, who started music aged 4 at the Royal Academy of Music “First String Experience” program, performed at Gregynog with Sinfonia Cymru last year and fell in love with the Music Room.
She returns with Turkish pianist Deniz Cengiz who also began her musical education at the age of 4 in Istanbul, Turkey. The duo’s repertoire will include Brahms Sonatas, Piazzolla and Gershwin.
Ezo studied at Junior Guildhall before attending the Yehudi Menuhin School. She has performed in concert halls like: The Royal Festival Hall, Barbican Centre, Birmingham Symphony Hall, The Wales Millennium Centre, St John’s Smith Square, Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.
Deniz has won prizes from numerous international competitions. She won 2nd prize in the International Piano Competition in Milan-Piano Talents, 2nd prize in the International Bursa Nilufer Piano Competition and 3rd prize in the Paris International Piano Competition. In 2019 Deniz won the Honourable mention in the First Cukurova Piano Competition and participated in the Robert Schumann Piano Competition and the Pianale International Piano Course Competition.
